Networks across the Borderlands collaborative are busy this season with trail projects. Check out a couple of highlights!
At Inland Woods + Trails, trail crews are refurbishing existing trails and doing training on newly constructed trails. Projects this season included replacing a 2′ pipe with an 8′ culvert, lots of filling in eroded and worn out tread, adding three bridges, lots of rock armoring and digging drainage ditches.
At PRKR MTN Trails, they are replacing stringers on most of the bridges and a few bridges have been fully replaced. They addressed some long time water mitigation issues on T95 with new culverts and drainage and touched up a few spots on Ante Up.
At Kingdom Trails, Burke Mountain Academy provided a day of volunteer work alongside KT’s Trail Crew to regrade Kevin’s Klimb, a climbing trail in the Skills Park behind the Wildflower Inn on Darling Hill. BMA students also helped reshape berms on Pete’s Dragon. There is even more work than what you see here happening across the region! Be sure to check trail networks website’s before hitting the trails to check for conditions and closures.
